Erres 1950's Dutch fan.

This is an interesting item..we have heard and seen many japanese and GB vintage fan...but this one is made in Holland in the 1950's . Found a similiar item at www.liveauctioneers.com/item/2421144 . The starting bid for this fan is 70 euros...estimated to fetch around 130 euros.

Ice Kacang..anyone?

Since its a weekend we took the opportunity to go for our usual hunting trip and this what we got, a swan brand ice kacang machine (made in japan)...There are lots of ice kacang machines out there but this one is rare as it is coated with enamel paint the kind of paint found on old signboards. We always wanted an ice kacang vending machine but never found one which is vintage...mostly made in china and coated with normal paint..Malaysia is famous for its local delicacies and the ice kacang is one of it...If you are a Malaysian and you have not tasted or seen this vending machine then i assume you must be leaving on the moon all this years. ...:)

Meja 12kaki...kaki burung helang..

semalam semasa hunting singgah kat rumah member...collector dan dealer jugak, terserempak dengan meja ni kat ruang makan...fuyooo meja ini memang solid kaki burung helang dengan roda kecik kat bawah .so senanglah untuk tolak nak angkat tak terdaya. selalunya bila kita beli perabot sentiasa la kena tengok kaki dan jenis kayu yang digunakan..kaki burung helang ,harimau dan sudu memang antique dan rare....tapi awas bnyk repro..jugak. Yang diatas memang ori cuma ownernya gosok balik untuk menampakan warna kayu yang natural..

just got back from our hunting trip :) ..decided to clean the piece above and guess what? there was a Jawi newspaper pasted at the back panel of the cabinet. I almost ripped it out but stopped when i noticed the paper was dated 1932...:)...so now we know roughly how old is this cabinet

bought this lamp because we wanted something different from the average oil lamps that we have...the chimney is a bit unique i bet it will be hard to get a replacement if its smashed....
